This session will focus on the timely and important issue of antiretroviral therapy (ART) as a prevention intervention and will be of interest to clinicians, researchers, programme managers and policy makers. The opportunities and challenges implicit in this approach will be presented by various speakers, each bringing a different perspective on the issue.
The session will examine from a pragmatic perspective how plans can be shaped and efforts mobilized in order to achieve maximum public health impact utilizing the various resources available including PEPFAR, the Global Fund, private sector, and in-country resources.
