Collectively we have made remarkable progress in the fight against HIV/AIDS – 4 million people have access to treatment, millions of children orphaned by AIDS are receiving essential services and health systems are being strengthened.

The session will cover the state of the art in TB diagnostics, prevention, and treatment; emerging data on delivery of HIV/TB care: and TB vaccine development. The session will include a special commentary of tuberculosis in the HIV infected pediatric population.

This session will look at critical areas that may be hindering, or working to facilitate, a more concerted response to stigma and discrimination, and thereby influencing the successful roll out of treatment as prevention and the elimination of vertical transmission of HIV.
