State Department releases “Trafficking in Persons Report 2011″
The State Department released its eleventh annual Trafficking in Persons Report which assesses “governments on their efforts to combat trafficking in persons.”
The launch of the report included comments from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Ambassador-at-Large of the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons Luis CdeBaca, and Under Secretary for Democracy and Global Affairs Maria Otero.Â During her remarks, Secretary Clinton discussed the disproportionate effect of trafficking on women and girls.Â
