Peter Taylor Elected to Kaiser Family Foundation Board of Trustees

The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation announced today that Peter Taylor has been elected to its Board of Trustees.

Mr. Taylor is executive vice president and chief financial officer for the University of California system. Mr. Taylor brings rich and broad experience in finance, government and the non-profit world to the Foundation. Prior to joining the UC System he was in investment banking first for Lehman Brothers and then as a managing director at Barclays Capital.

Mr. Taylor was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the California Performance Review Commission, which was charged with recommending ways to reform the framework of the state’s government. He has also served as an appointed member of the California Student Aid Commission and, early in his career, he served on the staff of the California State Assembly.

Mr. Taylor is the outgoing Chairman of the James Irvine Foundation and served on its board for 12 years. He also is a member of the J. Paul Getty Trust and on the board of Edison International and Southern California Edison.

Mr. Taylor is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles and holds a Master’s degree in public policy analysis from Claremont Graduate University.

Mr. Taylor joins a Kaiser board of thirteen leaders and experts with backgrounds in health care, public service, media, the nonprofit community and academia.
