“The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria applauds Japan’s latest contribution of US$339.3 million to the Global Fund, signaling strong leadership in global health by Japan. … The contribution of US$339.3 million brings Japan close to fulfilling its Fifth Replenishment pledge of US$800 million, made in May 2016 by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, before hosting the G7 Summit in Ise Shima, Japan.
