“The Ebola outbreak in West Africa, the Mediterranean migrant crisis, and the enduring terror threat have shown prosperous countries that ‘the days of being able to simply ignore poverty around the other side of the world are over,’ according to the [U.K.] international development secretary, Justine Greening.
