Congress Shows Bipartisan Support For Curbing Antibiotic Resistance
“A recent report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is adding urgency to an issue lawmakers from both parties say they want to address: the rise of bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics,” CQ Roll Call reports in an article examining the report and congressional action on the issue. According to Roll Call, “[t]he Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee … [held] a hearing on health care-associated infections on Tuesday” (Attias, 9/23).
