  1. Separately, we updated the nationwide analysis using 2016 survey data to check for any significant movement in the rate of pre-existing conditions. The more current year of microdata shows very similar results to our earlier analysis, with 26% of non-elderly adults having a declinable pre-existing condition, or 51 million people.
