USAID and Organization of Islamic Cooperation sign humanitarian assistance agreement
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining a framework for cooperation on humanitarian issues and disaster response that includes “mutual consultations and strategic dialogue, exchange of information, participation in disaster response and training, operational support and facilitation and coordination.”
