USAID Administrator Shah testifies before House and Senate Committees on FY14 budget request

U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Dr. Rajiv Shah testified before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs (April 25), House Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs (April 24), and the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations (April 24). During testimony before both Committees, Administrator Shah summarized the FY 2014 budget request including global health funding aimed at “creating an AIDS‐ free generation, ending preventable child and maternal death, and protecting communities from infectious diseases.” Administrator Shah also discussed funding for the Feed the Future Initiative (FtF), food aid reform, and other reform efforts through USAID Forward.
