Ambassador Eric Goosby highlights PEPFAR’s role in strengthening civil society
In a State Department blog post titled “PEPFAR Strengthens Civil Society Efforts To Fight HIV/AIDS,” Ambassador Eric Goosby, the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator, discussed the role of civil society in combating HIV/AIDS and announced that the Presidentâ€™s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) “will provide $1.5 million to support global and regional civil society networks to provide technical support, strengthen collaborations, and build strong leadership and capacity in communities highly impacted by HIV.”
