CSIS Publishes Reports On Immunization And Global Health

The Center for Strategic & International Studies on Wednesday released two reports on immunizations and global health. “The Future of Global Immunization: Will the Promise Be Fulfilled?,” by Stephen Cochi of the CDC, “outlines 10 important issues facing the global vaccine and immunization agenda” (12/7). “Role(s) of Vaccines and Immunization Programs in Global Disease Control: Mind the Nitty-Gritty Details,” by Phillip Nieburg, CSIS senior associate, and pediatrician Nancy McLaren, “focuses on the ‘nuts and bolts’ of the complex biological, epidemiologic, and risk management concepts that are the foundations of global and national ‘expert group’ recommendations for specific target groups for currently available childhood vaccines and others” (12/7).
