PHASE FIVE – Hope for the Future
Focuses on the issue of Hope for the Future as a key motivator for young people to avoid risky behaviours that drive the HIV/AIDS epidemic across Africa. This new ad also introduces the concept of soccer as part of the YOU campaign. This is to mark the ABMP’s F4 special initiative – Football for an HIV-Free Generation – promoting HIV/AIDS awareness in association with 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup broadcasts.
June – November 2008
PHASE FOUR – Peer Pressure
Focuses on the issue of peer pressure as one of the key drivers of the HIV/AIDS epidemic across Africa. The ads create a series of vignettes with individuals, families and communities overcoming situations where peer pressure could lead to high risk behaviours.
December 2007 – May 2008
PHASE THREE – Stigma
Focuses specifically on stigma as a key driver of HIV infection. The ads create a series of vignettes with individuals, families and communities overcoming the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS.
June - November 2007 PHASE TWO – Gender Equity
Focuses specifically on gender inequity as a key driver of HIV infection. The ads create an idealized vision of a gender equal world.
