Percent Change in Medicaid Spending and Enrollment, FY 2001-2008
Medicaid spending and enrollment growth reached low-points in state fiscal years 2006 and 2007, but increases in 2008 are projected as states address enrollment barriers and expand coverage to the growing number of uninsured.
