Nearly half (47.5%) of the 710,000 increase in uninsured children between 2005 and 2006 occurred in middle income families between two and three times the poverty level.

Notes: 200% to 399% of the federal poverty level (FPL) is roughly $40,000-$80,000 in annual income for a family of four in 2006.
