Uninsurance Among Low-Income Children Since SCHIP's Enactment
Due to increased coverage through Medicaid and SCHIP, the uninsured rate among low-income children has fallen by more than one-third from 1997 to 2005 – from 23% to 14%.



Notes: Survey method change in 2005 affects comparison with earlier years slightly. Children less than 18 years old.
