Medicare Private Fee-for-Service Enrollment as a Share of the Total Medicare Population, 2007
Eight in 10 Medicare beneficiaries are in the traditional Fee-For-Service Medicare program, and 19 percent are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan, such as an HMO or PPO. Only 3 percent of all Medicare beneficiaries are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Private Fee-for-service plan.
